Sigrid Gruener is a Programme Manager with a focus on peace building and security and development goals. Prior to joining the Foundation, she worked as a practitioner, trainer and researcher in the field of development, peace building and conflict transformation for International Solutions Group, Relief International, and Columbia University’s Center for International Conflict Resolution. Matilda Hald is Programme Manager and was responsible for the Development for Burma project. Matilda is also the Head of the democracy support programme at the Swedish Burma Committee. Mattias Lasson is Communications and Information Technology Manager. Mattias has a background in environment, development and communication, and worked at the Center for Environment and Development Studies, Uppsala university. Henning Melber is Senior Adviser and Director Emeritus. He has served as Senior Lecturer in International Relations at Kassel University, Director of the Namibian Economic Policy Research Unit in Windhoek, and Research Director of the Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala. Henning is an Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria and at the Centre for Africa Studies of the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein. Henning directed the Foundation from 2006 to 2012. He holds a PhD in Political Sciences and Development Studies.Powered by Hackadelic Sliding Notes 1.6.4
Fiona Rotberg is Senior Programme Manager. Prior to joining the Foundation, Fiona was Assistant Professor in the Political Science Department, Uppsala University, where she directed a project on the humanitarian challenges of climate change. Previously, as a consultant and researcher, Fiona provided strategic policy analyses in the fields of social networks and migration, human security and development, and governance and institution building in peace building processes for international agencies and private companies. She holds a PhD in International Environment, Natural Resources and Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, USA. Powered by Hackadelic Sliding Notes 1.6.4
Annika Söder is Executive Director. Prior to joining the Foundation, Annika was a Senior Manager in the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, responsible for external relations, partnerships and communications. Previously, she served in the Swedish Government offices as State Secretary for International Development Cooperation, spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry, and as foreign policy advisor to the prime minister and several foreign ministers. Annika has a background in communications, security policy and development cooperation. Annika has also served on several boards and councils of international institutions and organizations and studied journalism at Stockholm University.Powered by Hackadelic Sliding Notes 1.6.4
Cecilia Utas is Communications and Outreach Manager. Prior to joining the Foundation, Cecilia worked for United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs. She has a background as a producer and information specialist in arts and the humanitarian field. Robert Österbergh is Programme Manager with a focus on sustainable development. Prior to joining the Foundation, Robert was a campaign/media organiser in the Swedish Parliament and has several years’ experience as a teaching assistant at the Center for Environment and Development Studies, Uppsala University.
