Keynote – Jan Eliasson, UN Deputy Secretery General on Jan 17
News published January 18, 2013
This video was prepared for the seminar “How can we build a new global development agenda?” organised jointly by UNDP Nordic office and the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation. The seminar took place in Stockholm on January 17 2013.
Some of the questions addressed by the seminar were:
What will it take for the world’s nations to agree and commit to the next set of development goals – relevant and aspirational for all? What are the lessons learned from the current MDGs? How can we ensure that the post-2015 agenda is rooted in the needs of the poor, avoiding a northern, technocratic makeup?
More information about the seminar can be found here: dhf.uu.se/events/public-events/breakfast-seminar-how-can-we-build-a-new-global-development-agenda/
The seminar was part of a series of seminars under the heading “After 2015 – The road towards the next global development agenda“. The next seminar will take place February 14 at Myntkabinettet in Stockholm.
