Participation in the Forum is free of charge and open to the public. We offer refreshments, coffee and lunch at modest prices (see 'Food' below).

Transport from airport
Train: 95 SEK
Bus: 90 SEK
Taxi: Approximately 415 SEK


Hotel
The cost for a room at Comfort Hotel Svava is
1275 SEK/night including a nice breakfast and
a light evening meal.

The cost for a room at Scandic Hotel Uplandia is
995 SEK/night including a nice breakfast.


Lunch and coffee
Coupons can be bought at registration and the
info-desk for 100 SEK/day (cash only) for September 20 and 21.


Evening meals
Please look at the Tourist information site for
various restaurants and cafées.

How to get from Arlanda
(Stockholm Airport) to Uppsala

From Arlanda to Uppsala, you can chose to take the train "Upptåget". The ticket is bought on the train with Swedish cash - 95 SEK. Make sure to get off in Uppsala - the train often continues further north.The train ride takes approximately 20 minutes.

You could also take the bus 801 to Uppsala (last bus stop). It is 90 SEK, and the ticket is bought on the bus (with Swedish cash).Travel time around 30 minutes.

Here is a map over the airport
showing where to enter buses and trains to Uppsala.

In Uppsala, both the bus and the train stop by the Central Station, just across the street from Comfort Hotel Svava.

A taxi from Arlanda Airport to Uppsala should costs 415 SEK if
pre-booked – otherwise a bit more. Travel time is 25-30 minutes. To pre-order a taxi, call +46-18-10 00 00 or go to their web site.

Some will stay at Scandic Hotel Uplandia.

A group of participants linked to the ETC-Group, Canada, will stay at First Hotel Linné.

There is also a Hostel in central Uppsala.

A day coupon covering refreshments at coffee breaks and lunch can be bought at registration or at the information booth for SEK 100 /day. Coupons are sold on first come basis.

As far as possible, all food served at the Forum will be Fair Trade, organically and/or locally grown – all vegetarian. Vegan-alternatives will be available upon request. Please inform us of any special requests!
